Light It Up In Blue ~ Let’s illuminate the shopping street with blue lights~

We want to decorate the shopping street at Tachikawa south exit with blue lights for
four and a half months from Universal Children’s Day to World Autism Awareness Day!
We want to illuminate it with blue lights to let everyone know this is "a livable city for everyone”!

We are planning to light it up in blue!
Tachikawa city has “a regulation to make a town where people with and without disabilities can live together." “Tachikawa City is a place where it's easy for people to live together” which was mainly built by its citizens based on the idea that “a city livable for disabled people is also a livable one for everyone” and that ”Each person is different and unique”. Being that it's Tachikawa City, we think we can do this together with one or as many people as possible, and we think about "Tachikawa being an easy place where all children can live." We want to light up the Shopping Street with blue lights to encourage many people to come and see it and give them a chance to think about “a livable city for everyone”.

Nov 20th is “Universal Children’s Day”, on this day, we think about the happiness of all the children around the world and take action.
And Apr 2nd is “World Autism Awareness Day”, the day we try to deeply understand the children who struggle to live with “indiscernible disabilities” like autism and development disabilities.
On both days, the world will be connected by lighting it up in blue. On these days, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building, Osaka Castle and other areas in Japan have events and illuminations for it as well.

Even alone, with many people ...

goblue !

We planned a blue light-up in our city!
The executive committee is based on the philosophy that "the city where people with disabilities can live is the city where everyone can live happily."
We aim to be a city where all children can live happily.
We need the cooperation of as many people as possible.
